Anna Lang
Born in Northern Ireland in 1969
Anna is a relative newcomer to song writing.
She enjoyed performing cover songs in local
bars and clubs in her hometown in the UK .
Her first ever composition came in 2006 after
she collaborated with a talented song writer
and Musician called Chris Cawte , who had some
success in the 1980’s with a UK band called
“ The gutter brothers “
Chris lectures and tours the globe in a
Led Zeppelin tribute band and is currently
writing a score for a major film release for
2009
The song they had written was entitled
“ Give to me “ which earned good reviews on
Anna’s website and was featured in the local
Press , when it became a UK number Two in a
internet chart run by an organisation known as
soundclick.
Through this site she stumbled across a very
talented Songwriter/musician from Belfast
called Paul Mcilwaine.
after an approach was made , Paul agreed for
Anna to write and perform her lyrics to his
material and this was posted to both their
Soundclick sites.
Success was relatively quick , their first
ever collaboration became a top global 50
and also went UK number one.
Subsequent works over a six month period
again achieved credible chart recognition
globally and in the UK.
They have a musical understanding that allows
both to excel as musician and singer/lyricist
and as a result they have signed a publishing
contract with Rockstarmedia..
The pair cover many genres and have a unique
sound that has a strong guitar influence and
presence , catchy hooks layered vocals, strong
melodies and lyrics.
