Big expectations for 2009.
Well, what a year just gone ! better than I could have ever imagined.
The deal finally complete with Rockstarmedia and possibly more to
come as we speak.
They are considering their options on a further Four compositions at
present and fingers crossed , something will come of it.
My album,in terms of material is complete but a percentage of tracks
unrecorded. It takes time , bags of rehearsing and the most obviously
money.
Like eveyone,I'm finding the financial crunch has restricted the project as a whole but there are people out there struggling in all sorts of circumstances , so I consider myself fortunate to be doing what i do at all.
The tracks published by RSM are being put around the globe to see
what interest there is. I stumbled across a fantastic artist through
Rockstar, that may consider taking up the option of one of the songs.
She's called Vanesssa Amorosi.
Regardless If she takes one or not , I'm glad of the introduction, what
a talent,what a voice.
Look her up on you tube , she could well be big here within the next
few years.
Songwriting has gone well but I've struggled to get back on track so far this year but again , I tend not to worry too much about these things when you hear what's going on in the real world.
My music collaborations are built firmly with Paul Mcilwaine who has
just had more good news , a song that he worked on with another artist , is to be used in a film, so it's all happening for him and I couldn't be more pleased for them both.
Just to let you know that a track I co wrote with Newton Bach called
" Candy Sweet " is to be mastered at Abbey road studios - yep , thats right , that Abbey road studio's - how cool is that.
Newton has worked really hard with musicians from around the globe
to make this work and the results are fantastic.
Also working with another amazing talent called Logan Vogt whom I
met through soundclick. This guy is going to be massive in the future
an amazing songwriter and lyricist.
So will the album be ready for July ? I'm still optomistic , Ive another
eight or nine tracks to lay down before I have to choose the final
selection but that's an enjoyable headache.
It will probably consist of between 12 to 14 tracks , mostly with my
main collaborator Paul Mc but for next album I am thinking of
making a country album.
Another of my collaborators Mark Woodcock is on board for this , so
we'll have to wait & see what develops.Hopefully that will be complete by 2010.
Seems like a long way off but by the time the material is written & then recorded it will take at least that long but then again , it has to be right and obviously it will be judged against the previous one.
So time is not really the issue.
Thanks to everyone for their continued support , especially Cindy Lou - my little rock in Canada. It still means everything to have that support and I doubt that will ever change for me.

Update on Rockstarmedia :
